What is DMCA?

The Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) is a United States copyright law enacted in 1998. It defines the responsibilities and remedies for online content providers in cases of copyright infringement.

Although we are based in Bangladesh, we respect international intellectual property laws and adhere to the core principles of the DMCA.

Our Policy

RPCENEWS provides free access to Bangla books. We follow these policies:

  • We only publish books that are in the public domain or are properly licensed
  • We do not publish copyrighted books without permission from the author or publisher
  • Content is removed within 48 hours of receiving a valid DMCA complaint
  • Action is taken against repeat infringers
  • The confidentiality of the complainant's information is protected

Complaint Process

Upon receiving a copyright infringement complaint, we follow this process:

Receive Complaint
We receive your complaint by email and send a confirmation message.

Verification
The complaint details are verified and the content is reviewed.

Action Taken
If the complaint is found valid, the content is removed within 48 hours.

Notification
The complainant is notified by email of the action taken.

Required Information in a Complaint

A valid DMCA complaint must include the following information:

  • Identity: Your name, address, phone number, and email address
  • Copyright Information: Description or link to the original copyrighted content
  • Infringing Content: The full URL of the infringing content on our site
  • Proof of Ownership: Evidence that you are the copyright owner or authorized representative
  • Good Faith Statement: A statement that you believe the content is being used without authorization
  • Signature: Your electronic or physical signature

Incomplete complaints will not be accepted. False complaints may result in legal liability.

Counter-Notice

If you believe your content was removed by mistake or unjustly, you may submit a Counter-Notice. The Counter-Notice must include the following:

  • Your name, address, and email
  • The URL of the removed content
  • A statement that you believe the content was removed in error
  • Consent to the jurisdiction of the court in your area
  • Your signature

Content may be restored within 10–14 business days of receiving a valid Counter-Notice.

Repeat Infringement

For users or content providers who repeatedly infringe copyright, we will take the following steps:

  • Permanently suspend the account
  • Revoke the ability to submit content in the future
  • Take legal action if necessary
