Chapter 119 (Harper Alizah Grace’s POV)
Before I can utter a single word, a pair of arm hold me tightly on my shoulder causing me to groan. It hurts, he’s holding me harshly.
“Who really are you?” He almost yelled sharply as he pinned me against the wall. I can feel his anger, he was in rage, nearly killing me. What? I didn’t even do something horrible. What causing him to act recklessly like this again? Is he really gone mad? The heck?
“Tell me! Why are you playing dumb? Why can’t you say everything about you to me!” He yelled breathlessly. I closed my eyes and tapped his back. He’s f*uc*king choking me on the neck? How the hell I can talk?
I used my strength to push him away from me. In my first attempt, I failed. But I didn’t surrender, I push him again and this time, he let go off me. I glare at him, what the heck is his problem?
“What’s wrong with you?” I snapped. I was trying to calm myself down now, he really went to far this time. I allow them to encaged me in this place but if possible I don’t want them to touch me, because I know once they did, I don’t know how the hell I will calm down myself for not hurting them too.
Since that day, when I realized that he never loved me i lose my s*hit. I’m easily get annoyed, to mad and always grumpy. I don’t want to talk too much, just like what I’ve said, less talk, less mistakes.
“How long do you want to lie and manipulate us?!” What? what is he talking about? Manipulating? wow, what a big word.
“Isn’t you who’s manipulating everyone?” His face hardened, seems like he realized something. Did I hit a nerve? He turn his back on me, what that’s it?
“I will let you go this time, call yourself lucky today, Larkspur.” I laughed in disbelief, gosh he’s really impossible.
“You know what, you’re funny. Crashing in this place and choke me then you’ll left like there’s nothing happened?” I paused and walk closer to him. He’s back were still facing me, but I know his expression right now is blank as paper.
“I’m starting to question your sanity, King.” I mocked the word king. Just like what I said before, he might be the king of this place, he’s no king to me. I’m the ruler of my own kingdom.
He slowly look back, the first thing I saw was his cold eyes piercing directly into my soul. If I’m not me, I might be shaking in fear now.
“I don’t have time to argue with you.”
“Really? then why are you here then?” I asked again. He stared at me for a sec before smirking, what is he thinking this time?
He slowly move closer to me and hold my jaw. “You’re quite brave, know your place here vampire.” Oh, I see. I slapped his hand on my face and move back.
“Triggered that I’m a vampire? What if I tell you I’m a werewolf too?” I asked him. He was slightly caught off guard and quickly look at me.
“That’s impossible, don’t fool me vampire.” I laughed once again, he’s really funny. I shrugged my shoulder and move towards my bed and sat on the edge.
“You can go now, I can’t wait till you get rid of me.” As I said that I lay down on my bed, completely ignoring him.
“How did you know about that?” He asked me but he got no answer. When he realized I’m not going to answer any of his question, he left without any noise. That’s right, leave now idiot. I’m right, even if I will tell my true identity, he won’t going to believe me.
I just said that I’m a werewolf too, i didn’t even mentioned myself being a tribrid. I shook my head and rolled my body sideward on the bed, I’m facing the wall right now.
What a life, I couldn’t help but to feel lonely. I’m facing this dark chapter of my life alone, I don’t have anyone with me. I know there still someone who cared about me, but I can’t trust them.
I can’t trust anyone now, not even my friends and own family. Anyone can betray me in their own choice. Letting out a big sigh, I closed my eyes and let myself drift into a deep chamber.
“Alizah, Alizah! Come closer and look at these.” My brow furrowed as I looked back. I saw him standing not so far on me, oh did he found something? A big smile crept into my lips as I run towards his direction.
“What is that?” I asked energetically. He glanced on me with a bright smile on his lips, he pointed the combination of green and yellow exotic butterfly flying around the red flower. This is fantastic to watch, “Wow, it’s so beautiful.” I praised in awe.
“Indeed, I saw this one flying from there to here. I know you would love to see this one so I called you.” I look at him in admiration, I would really love to. I hugged him in excitement, “You really know me well don’t yah. Thanks V.” I thanked him as I watched the butterfly again.
It was very mesmerizing to watch, what does it feel to be a butterfly flying freely in the air?
“Harper, Spencer, the two of you is here! Can Sebastian, Cody and I play with you two?” I heard someone yelled behind us. My face lit up even more Sebastian, Cody and Lance was here now too. This is great.
With one last glance into the butterfly, I stand up and half-run towards them. “Yes, of course, you three can play with us. Shall we play a game hide a seek again?” I asked happily.
“Yes, sure. Little Alpha,” Cody said jokingly causing me to giggle. They love to call me like that. It was supposedly Luna because I’m a girl, Alpha is for boys only, but I found little alpha cute so I let them.
“Okay den, Lance, you’ll be the one who will look for us. Come on, let’s go and hide!” I reached out for V’s hand and pulled him with me. I was giggling like crazy while looking for a better place to hide at.
“Hold on, Alizah. I know a secret place, I’m pretty sure he can find us there.” My eyes widened in excitement.
“Really? Where?” I asked demandingly. He smiled, and sign me to follow him.
We run faster as we could and a few minutes later, we are getting inside a secret entrance of a cave near our the pack house. As we get inside, one word can describe what I’m seeing right now. Awesome, this place is beautiful. At first thought, I assumed this is a cave but I’m wrong, this is actually a sync hole full of different trees, plants, flowers and even animals, the cave is just the entrance.
“Wow, how did you find this?” I asked while looking around. This kind of place is my comfort zone.
“I love adventures, so I found this.” He answered and smiled. That’s awesome, he’s really cool. He’s just three years ahead of me but he already go to a lot of places. I was about to talk but he went closer and cover my mouth.
“Quiet, I feel Lance is coming here.” He whispered. My eyes grew wider, we can’t get caught. I nodded my head.
“I think I heard someone’s talking here.” My eyes widened even more when I heard Lance’s voice, he’s right. We stayed that way for how many minutes until he let me go.
“He’s gone now, we will stay here until he found us one more time.” He said, I nodded.
“Okay, but what we should do here? What if he can’t find us? Are we going to stay here forever?” I asked innocently, he chuckled and hit my head lightly.
“Silly you, of course not. If he can’t find us within thirty minutes, we’ll go out and look for them instead.” He answered. Oh yeah, silly me indeed.
“And what we should do here? Come on, I’ll show you something.” He said and extend his hand right in front of me. I gladly took it and smile. I trust him.
“Let’s go then.”
“Let’s go.” We started to walk together. A few minutes later, we reach the higher part of the place, wherein we can see the river’s view from far. If this place is beautiful itself, this view is
“This place…” I heard him murmured so I look at him. I found him looking at me, “I wanted to go with you here again when we get older.” I stared at her for a few seconds, and then I smiled.
“We will go here again.” I replied and smiled widely. He smile too, “That’s a promise of us.” I nodded.
“Yeah, a promise. Pinky swear?” He nodded back and replied, “pinky swear.” “let’s go back, maybe they were still looking for us. It’s almost lunch time too.” He said.
“Okay, let’s go.”
When we got home, so many things happened. Him, his cousins and best friend went home. V said something heart breaking, it was urgent, he didn’t expect it like I do. The alpha king, which is his father said that he, they can’t come here again.
I slowly opened my eyes as the tears goes down. That dream, no that’s was part of my childhood. I sat down on the bed and closed my eyes tightly. My head hurts, I can’t process in my mind what I just saw.
Since I was six, I already knew them, him? They were already part of my life, I didn’t expect that.
“I wanted to go with you here again when we get older.” I murmured. He promised, we promised. It’s makes me sadder, I know that promise will never going to happen, not in this lifetime.
I wipe my tears away and took a deep breath. I’m crying again, I’m slowly yet painfully remembering the past. If this is not what happening to me right now, I’ll be happy, but it is not, that’s why I’m hurt, deeply.
I wish everything will be alright soon, I don’t want to get hurt anymore.
