Chapter 143 A Good Deal
At that time, Brisa gave off a fierce glare as if she was really going to remove Radley’s oxygen mask.
But, Freya only sighed softly. She was relieved that the most dangerous hours had passed. Then, she got up, but she almost fell to the ground as her limbs went stiff and numb.
Brisa quickly rushed over to help her out. “You need to rest right now!”
Freya replied with a smile, “Alright.”
Freya called Ethan to arrange for a ward right across the ICU room that she just came out from since there were not many patients in the hospital at that time.
She went to the ward and changed into the clothes that Brisa had brought for her after Ethan had made the arrangement
Then, she inserted her phone’s sim card into a new phone, and she was able to find Melissa’s number in the contact list. She asked her for Hannah’s phone number following that.
It might be bad for Rosie’s health if she knew that Radley had been seriously injured since she had high blood pressure. As for Daniella, Freya couldn’t afford to let her know about this as well because her health was already fragile.
So, Freya called Hannah to tell her about Radley’s condition, and she asked her to look after him in the hospital.
Freya was exhausted after the call, and she fell asleep on the sick bed.

Freya went out and called Isabella after spending some time with Hannah in the ward.
She needed Isabella’s help in hiding the fact that she wouldn’t be at home for a day because Braxton would be suspicious if it was anything more than that.
However, he would definitely find out about this if she didn’t go back for several days.
Isabella answered Freya’s phone call in a casual tone, “Hey, Frey. What’s up?”
I need your help, Izzy.” Freya spoke in a hoarse voice.
“What is it? What happened to your voice?” Isabella asked curiously.
Then, Freya proceeded to tell Isabella about what had happened the previous night.
Isabella remained silent for a long time before she asked in a serious tone, “How are you feeling now?”
“I’m fine.” Freya replied with a smile. “But, I need to stay here to look after Radley. Tell my brother that I’m with you if he calls you and starts asking questions,”
“Okay, you got it! Are you in Caltun General Hospital? I’ll come to see you right away!”
But, Freya refused. T’m looking after him right now, Izzy. I don’t have the time as he hasn’t made it past the dangerous period just yet. Most importantly, I prefer not to see anyone during such a difficult time. So, please leave me in peace, Izzy”
Isabella replied with her voice trembling. ‘I shouldn’t have left early last night. I didn’t know you would have such a dangerous encounter!”
At that moment, Isabella was really regretful judging from the way she sounded.
But, Freya only smiled. “How could anyone predict such things? Alright, I won’t talk any further for now Just remember what I told you and make sure my brother doesn’t find out.”
Freya returned to the ward after hanging up the phone.

Freya sat by the sickbed as she looked at Radley, who was still unconscious. He only woke up once during
the surgery due to extreme pain, and he had not woken up since then.
Freya personally prescribed his medication and nutrient infusions.
But, his lips were still cracked. So, Freya dipped a cotton swab in water and gently wiped his lips.
Radley was able to make it past the dangerous period over the next three days.
Throughout these days, Hannah watched over him during the day while Freya looked after him at night.
There was always someone watching over the hospital equipment for Radley throughout the entire day as they took shifts.
Freya finally relaxed at 12 noon. She sat by Radley’s bed and looked at him with high hopes. He should wake up today if her calculation was correct.

The ward was quiet. Radley felt his left hand numb after he came to. However, he felt a warm sensation and lowered his eyes just as he was about to pull his hand back.
He realized it was Freya leaning on his hand, and she had fallen asleep at the bedside.
Radley stared at Freya, and he noticed her complexion was pale.
Then, he only frowned slightly as he didn’t dare to move.

Half an hour had passed when Freya woke up, and she didn’t sleep soundly at all. Her eyes met Radley’s gaze as soon as she woke up.
She finally felt relieved after days of worrying.
Freya quickly put up a serious–looking face, and she stared at Radley for a few seconds before coughing lightly. “Well, you’re past the worst now. But, don’t make any sudden big movements or any strenuous exercises. You need to rest for at least a month.”
Radley smiled lightly. “Is that medical advice for me, Professor Harlan?”
Freya only glared at him coldly as her identity as Professor Harlan was compromised.
Then, she stood up and said before walking out of the ward, “I’ll go and arrange a ward transfer for you. I’ll have two experienced nurses to look after you since you’re out of danger now.”
Radley wanted Freya to stay with him personally. But, he nodded after seeing her pale complexion. “Thanks
Radley was soon moved to a regular ward, and the two nurses also arrived, thanks to Freya.
At that time, he sat on the sickbed as he watched Freya meticulously give the nurses instructions on
looking after him, and a warm feeling emerged from his heart.
